I rushed Lily to the emergency vet in the middle of the night and sure enough the x-ray showed pneumonia. The vet gave me oral antibiotics and told me to take Lily to our regular vet in the morning. When the vet opened in the morning, I called and they could not get Lily in until the afternoon. Lily was much worse and I was panicking. Stephanie told me what I needed and I called around, but I could not find the items. Stephanie said she had everything we needed to care for Lily, so we made the six hour drive without blinking an eye. I was in tears during the drive because Lily was so sickly. It all came on so fast. When we arrived, Stephanie gave Lily a nebulizer treatment. Luckily she had a spare nebulizer and sent us on our way with a care package of everything we needed to treat Lily. Lily made an amazing recovery. There are no words to describe how much we love this little dog and the anguish this all caused. We have now purchased our own nebulizer and supplies to have on hand.
