'Firmamentum' (out 30th August) is the debut album from Gawd Status aka King Kashmere and Joker Starr. Fronted by lead singles "Heavy Metal" - which was premiered on Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6Music) show - and "The Alchemist ft. Fae Simon", the LP showcases Gawd Status' versatility and eclecticism as an unconventional prodder/MC duo, delivering a killer and off-kilter record that lies in between the worlds of hip-hop, psychedelia and soul. Confounding categories, Gawd Status originated from the UK hip-hop scene, with the duo initially meeting at a King Kashmere's Raiders Of The Lost Archives launch party back in 2008, joining forces a couple of years after. Slough resident Kebbie Conteh aka Joker Starr solo career ranges from the AA single "Raw Spittage / The Anthem" (2001) to his most recent LP 'G.A.W.D' (2019) which demonstrates Joker's flair for originality as an MC. While King Kashmere, as well as being a talented producer, is known for being a legendary UK MC in his own right, most notably for lending his vocal talents to producer Dr Zygote (aka The Maghreban). Together they form Strange U, releasing on the prolific Eglo Records and esteemed UK label High Focus (who have released music from Ocean Wisdom and Rag'n'Bone Man), plus picking up praise in The Ransom Note, The Quietus, The Wire and on NTS. Individually the duo have supported the likes of AZ, M.O.P, Kool Keith, Necro and Phife Dawg. "Heavy Metal" is an experimental hip-hop meets psychedelic trip-hop listen that is boisterous, chaotic and marked by a profound sense of urgency. Exploring disparate but interwoven themes of Roman Catholic priests, Afrika Bambaataa, Braintax, the origins of humanity, Babylon and devilish behaviour - Joker Starr's intention is to uplift and discomfit the listener; "heavy metal for the devil" he ominousness preaches in sinister and satanic voice. King Kashmere perfectly matrimonies the seriousness of Joker Starr's flows with the textual palette of his production: "As the project was taking shape I knew it had to have a tribal sound to it... almost like the ancestors were being invoked". "Heavy Metal" closes with a psychedelic outro, that pays a closer tribute to the experimental pop of early Animal Collective than their UK hip-hop counterparts. The single is paired with a Hitchcock-inspired black and white music video, which follows a possessed girl around a London estate before going deep into the woods to bury her secret. "The Alchemist ft. Fae Simon" pours hypnotic soul and genuine jazz vibes, reminiscent of the hey-day of trip-hop kings Massive Attack. Featuring as a guest vocalist, Fae Simon adds her darkly sensual melodies to track. Introduced initially to King Kashmere through fellow UK rapper Jehst (who Fae Simon collaborated with on "Timeless"), Fae's smooth, effortless and instantly recognisable voice allures vocal valour. Keeps drinks cold all day

We got this Owala bottle for our son to use as his everyday school water bottle, and it has been excellent. The 24oz size holds plenty of water for the school day without being overly bulky or heavy to carry around.
The insulation works extremely well. Drinks stay cold all day long, even when the bottle sits in a backpack for hours. That’s probably the feature we’ve been most impressed with so far. It’s also been great for car trips since it keeps water cold for extended periods without needing constant refills.
The design is really well thought out too. The built-in straw makes it easy to drink from quickly during class or while traveling, and the lid feels secure and leak-resistant when closed. It also has a clean, modern look that feels a little more premium than many standard water bottles.
Build quality feels solid overall, and it seems designed to hold up well to everyday use from school, sports, and travel.
Overall, this has been a fantastic everyday water bottle and definitely lives up to the hype. Keeps drinks cold, holds a good amount of water, and works equally well for school or road trips.

Cup holder friendly AND functional!

I have a dupe of this cup in a 32oz version and I’m in love with it except for one thing, it doesn’t fit in the cup holders of my vehicles very well. For Father’s Day, my husband needed an insulated cup for when he works outside, his current one doesn’t fit in a cup holder. This was a perfect option for him since he likes the one I have. First things first: this thing keeps liquids COLD for a VERY long time. Haven’t put anything hot into it and don’t plan to so I cannot attest to that. It’s lightweight, durable, and the versatility with the straw is really what makes this cup stand out. You can use a straw OR take a sip without changing adaptors or adding a straw. The straw is basically built into the spout. It’s leakproof which I greatly appreciate. With this being on sale I jumped on it. These are such nice cups, and I can confirm they fit the cup holders of my vehicles from my 22 RAV4 to my 05 Corolla. This is a definite buy and I really hope my husband gets me one since my dupe doesn’t fit in my cup holders. As for the 24oz of this cup, it fits. The colors are fun. It’s unique, and extremely functional.

Versatile water bottle_ great ice cold retention

There are a lot of stainless steel bottles out there but the quality of Owala stands out by far. Starting with the both drink options of sip or chug, mega cute color combinations, ergonomic grip, cold retention is great and different size to fit everyone of your family's thirst. Easy to carry it with its handle. It's almost a month that I've been using it and no spills on my backpack. Defo buying more on the future, just to change the color with the Seasons. Rubber Boot is not included but make sure to add it to your cart...is soooo worth it!
