The Zenna Home Adjustable Tension Shower Rod uses patented TwistTight tension technology. This rod is held into place by tension. With each clockwise turn, the rod lengthens slightly which creates the tension. There is a very limited number of turns before the locking mechanism is fully tightened. It is important to note…. If a customer takes the rod out of packaging and immediately starts twisting it, it will twist a few times and then lock. This is not how the rod should be installed. If in case the curtain rod rod is not tightening: The customer should “reset” the mechanism by unscrewing one tube counter-clockwise fully until it stops turning. They should then extend (no twisting) the rod to each wall. Only at that point, should they begin to twist one end (clockwise) to tighten the rod in place. Simply put, they should pull the rod to extend and twist to tighten it in place.
