25 Series Surface Mount Dual Carbon Monoxide/Propane Alarm - 12V Hardwire - Black

The Safe-T-Alert 25 Series combination CO/Gas Alarm is an alarm that combines into a single compact system, a powerful alarm that detects both Carbon Monoxide (CO) and explosive Propane (LPG) gas. The 25 Series uses the latest microprocessor technology combined with two electronic self-cleaning sensors that operate independently of each other. The combined unit can detect both CO and explosive gases simultaneously.

This detector is listed as a CO and Propane gas detector for RV use. Other explosive gases, such as Acetone, Alcohol, Butane, and Gasoline, may cause false alarms.

To prevent false alarms from brief “puffs” of gas, the detector has a recheck cycle before alarming. If high levels of gas remain during the recheck cycle, the detector will alarm.

The electronic CO sensor in your SAFE-T-ALERTTM CO alarm is very sensitive to CO gas. It will not react to safe levels of most other gases.

Features:

  • Patented Double-Duty Alarm. Upgrades single 12 Volt Propane Gas alarms to a dual alarm that detects both Propane Gas and CO.
  • Space Saving. Compact design for RVs.
  • Designed for the Rugged RV Environment. Ideal for Class A Motor homes, Class B Van Campers, Class C Mini-Motor Homes, Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Truck & Folding Campers.
  • Advanced Technology. The Alarm Mute button silences the alarm while the RV is ventilated. Rapid recovery sensor resets when silenced or reactivates the alarm if dangerous levels of Propane or CO remain.
  • Reliable. 12 Volt power means no missing or dead batteries to replace.
  • Approved. Meets RVIA/NFPA requirements.

Always order big!
I needed a minimum of 2 AWG wire to create interconnects between batteries in a large bank. If you note, these say 1/0 Gauge, not AWG. What is 1/0 Gauge? Who knows, it's fake. Meaningless, because it is not standardized so you have no clue what you are getting. What did I get for my 1/0 Gauge wire? Something that was in between 1 and 2 AWG (closer to 1). This was perfect for my needs because I knew darn well how big to order when they say gauge instead of AWG. As a rule of thumb: If they as gauge, order 3 - 4 sizes larger than you need in AWG. This will always net you larger wire than you need but I have never had it net me wire smaller than I needed. At the price I got it for during prime days, it was a steal for 2 AWG wire, so I win! I hope you found this helpful!

Heavy duty and has lasted three years so far
I have had this relay installed in the engine bay of my Lexus RX 300, functioning to link the front battery to the additional battery in the trunk whenever the ignition is on. The relay has worked reliably for about three years now with no complaints besides one minor comment, be careful when threading down the nut on the Low voltage side. It is prone to stripping

Heavy Duty!!
Performed extremely well. No buzzzing or poor connection. Extremely well built and has been working issue free for over 6 months! Instalation can be a bit difficult due to size and weight. Not really a problem.
