Vacheron Constantin Automatic “TV Case” Ref. 2196
Ultra-Thin 1970s Elegance in Solid 18K White Gold

Bold yet refined, architectural yet impossibly thin—this Vacheron Constantin Ref. 2196 is a striking expression of 1970s haute horlogerie. Housed in a substantial solid 18K white gold TV-shaped case and paired with a rare matte black sigma dial, this watch perfectly balances strong design with the understated elegance Vacheron Constantin is celebrated for.

Adding to its desirability, this example comes with its original Vacheron Constantin box, a detail seldom found with watches of this era.

The Design – Jumbo, Thin, and Exceptionally Elegant

The 31 x 34mm case (excluding crown and lugs) is considered a true jumbo size for the 1970s, giving the watch a confident wrist presence while remaining effortlessly dressy. Despite its solid and heavy white gold construction, the case measures an astonishing 6.5mm thin, an impressive technical feat for an automatic watch with a date complication.

The original sapphire crystal remains in place, showing only very minor imperfections consistent with age. The watch retains its original Vacheron Constantin crown, an important detail for collectors.

On the caseback, there is a personal engraving, which can be professionally removed by a goldsmith if desired.

Rare Matte Black Sigma Dial

The dial is the true star of this piece. Finished in a rare and uncommon matte black, it features the coveted sigma logo, indicating the use of solid 18K white gold hands, indices, and Vacheron Constantin logo.

This subtle marking at the bottom of the dial elevates the watch into serious collector territory, confirming both material quality and period correctness. The contrast between the matte black dial and white gold elements is exceptional—sharp, elegant, and unmistakably high-end.

Calibre K1121 – Ultra-Thin Mechanical Excellence

Inside beats the Vacheron Constantin calibre K1121, an ultra-thin automatic movement renowned for its refinement and reliability. Featuring a solid gold rotor and date function, the movement has been fully serviced by our master watchmaker and is running beautifully.

This calibre exemplifies Vacheron Constantin’s mastery of slim automatic movements during the golden age of Swiss watchmaking.

Accessories

The watch is fitted with a handmade Belgian leather strap, complemented by an original AW Wenger steel buckle. Completing the set is the original Vacheron Constantin presentation box, a rare and highly desirable addition.

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.
