Between 1850 and 1912, Territorial New Mexico was home to a diverse mix of peoples. Contesting with those who had lived in the region for thousands of years, an array of newcomers arrived: Hispanic settlers, Anglo homesteaders, ranchers, cowboys, sheepherders, merchants, railroad men and-perhaps its chief adventurers-treasure hunters and prospectors. "Lost Treasures & Old Mines" brims with stories of gold fever, copper ore and SILVER mining in the American Southwest. In 1541 when Coronado's conquistadors arrived in search of the fabled Seven Cities of Cibola, pre-Columbian natives had long been mining for turquoise. The stories in this collection tell of hidden Indian mines, treasures lost en route to Spain, gold heists on trains and stagecoaches, placer miners roaming the hills and chicanery among claim partners. Geronimo, Victorio, Billy the Kid and U.S. Calvary soldiers thread through these stories, along with lucky characters who strike the motherlode and hapless ones who lose their fortunes. The Lost Juan Mondragon Mine, The Dead Burro Mine, the Lost Mine of the Pedernal, the Adams Diggings, Elizabethtown and Pinos Altos-such places live as shining memories in these oral histories of fabulous fortunes lost and found. Between 1936 and 1940, field workers in the New Deal Works Project Administration's Federal Writers' Project recorded authentic accounts of life in the early days of New Mexico. These original documents, published here for the first time as a story collection, reflect the conditions of the New Mexico Territory as played out in dynamic clashes between individuals and groups competing for control of the land and resources. "Lost Treasures & Old Mines," the third in the New Mexico Federal Writers' Project Book Series, features a lively collection of stories and historic photographs of the era. The first and second books in the series are "Outlaws & Desperados" and "Frontier Stories." Forthcoming volumes include Stories from Hispano New Mexico and a collection of cowboy adventures on cattle trails and ranches. ANN LACY, an artist and researcher/writer, has lived in New Mexico since 1979. She has worked for Project Crossroads, a not-for-profit educational resource group, in projects related to New Mexico history and culture. Participating in preserving open space and preservation efforts, she received a City of Santa Fe Heritage Preservation Award in 2000. ANNE VALLEY-FOX, co-editor of the New Mexico Federal Writers' Project Book series and staff member with Project Crossroads, is a poet and writer. Her nonfiction books include "Your Mythic Journey" (co-author, Sam Keen). Her fourth collection of poetry, "How Shadows Are Bundled," was published in 2009.

Scrub a dub dub
Scent: Ivory
I like the scrubby side more then the soft side, fits great in the hand, washing doesn’t ruin the durability or feel and the pack is a great deal!

Made in America nano-hydroxyapatite Toothpaste that's Well Worth Buying.
I've been using the Japanese brand Apagard Premio toothpaste for a couple of years now and now I've tried this Boka toothpaste while looking for alternatives that wold be less costly. Boka Toothpaste is very mild and makes brushing your teeth better. It doesn't have that harsh mint flavor which with most toothpastes feels like it's burning your mouth. It comes in multiple flavors and when you're done brushing your teeth, there is no need to rinse your mouth as it is a safe toothpaste to use. After using it for a few days, I feel that I will keep using the Boka brand from now on. I just wish that most stores would carry this toothpaste instead pf selling all those major brands which are full of fluoride. Did a bit of research and found that Boka Toothpaste has the same percentage of nano-hydroxyapatite as Apagard premio which is 10%. So that means that Boka Toothpaste is just as good if not better. No Fluoride No Harsh burning Mint Flavor Safe to shallow Multiple flavors 10% nano-hydroxyapatite Keeps your teeth Strong And one thing I've noticed is nano-hydroxyapatite makes your teeth less sensitive by rebuilding your tooth enamel I ordered four flavors, Watermelon Mint, Strawberry Mango, Orange Cream and Coco Ginger. So far, I've tried the Coco Ginger and I was surprised at how mild it was and it didn't have the sharp taste that ginger usually has. It is good and I enjoy it. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors. The Orange Cream I'm sure my wife will like if I can get her to try it. But she can be very stubborn at times. I see there are some other flavors which I intend to try such as the Cinnamint, Cucumber Dill, Lemon Lavender and Strawberry Basil. Not sure if I should try the Ela Mint as I don't know how strong or mild the mint will be. I'm sure that if places such as Walmart brick & mortar stores sold this toothpaste, that it would sell really well.

Best paste and taste
Every once in a while you run into a product of true quality. Time is expensive currency so we’ll keep it concise. This is the best tooth paste we’ve ever tried. All good quality ingredients fluoride free. First thing we noticed is how quick it works, it cleans your teeth super quick used with electric toothbrush cutting brushing time considerably. Leaves mouth feeling clean and smooth plus great taste. A lot of new advanced products in self care tend to have chemical type scents and textures but this tooth paste has a pleasant feel and taste, we got coco ginger. Will buy again.

Tastes great, works great
I love this toothpaste! I’m so happy to have a toothpaste that isn’t mint-flavored. FLAVOR: The taste and smell are so good — the coco ginger flavor is delicious and I legitimately look forward to the taste of it. I was worried that the ginger might be strong/spicy, but it’s nicely balanced. The lavender lemon flavor is also pretty good, like a lemon pastry. The elamint flavor tastes like regular mint toothpaste, just maybe slightly more herbal. SENSITIVITY: I’ve had to use sensitive toothpaste for many years. Any time I switched off it, I would start experiencing sensitivity again within a week or so. I’m really happy to report that this toothpaste offers great sensitivity and enamel protection. WHITENING: I don’t feel that this toothpaste is contributing much in terms of whitening. My previous toothpaste had gentle whitening, and I do feel like I could tell it was working. While my teeth haven’t gotten less white since I switched to Boka, I don’t think they’ve gotten any whiter either. That’s okay with me — the flavor and sensitivity protection are worth it, and I can always do a whitening treatment in the future if I ever feel I need to. TEXTURE: The texture is just like normal toothpaste and brushing with it feels the same as any other toothpaste. It works great with both my manual toothbrush and my electric toothbrush. TUBE: The tube is really nice and sturdy. I like the design of the tube a lot. The text and color scheme are fairly minimalist, and I like that the cap has a wide base so the tube can stand upright. It looks nice on my bathroom shelf. My only small complaint is that it gets harder and harder to squeeze the toothpaste out once the tube is less than half full. Since the tube is so sturdy, it can’t be rolled and folded to get the paste out. I think this issue could probably be resolved easily with one of those squeezing tools, though. I’ll report back if I try it. SIZES: I love that it’s available in both a regular size and a little travel size. I also loved that the travel size allowed me to try out this toothpaste before committing to a whole large one. (Don’t worry, the tube in my photos was full when it arrived! I’ve used half of it.) Overall I highly recommend this toothpaste! I will absolutely buy it again.
