artist biography
Knud Ejnar Horup was born on 22 May 1926. He was a Danish painter best known for his modernist approach to Scandinavian landscapes settings.

Horup attended the Århus Tekniske Skole (Technical School) in Århus and then the Hovedskous School of Painting (Hovedskous målarskola) in Gothenburg - This was a private school founded by the Danish artist (and celebrated WWII resistance fighter) Börge Hovedskou (1910-1966). Hovedskou moved to Sweden in 1943 and founded the painting school in the Haga district of Gothenburg.

Horup’’ss solo exhibitions (in Denmark, Sweden and Norway) were always well received by both critics and collectors. Horup’’s group exhibitions include ‘Ung Kunst’ (Young Art) in Århus (1951), the annual Artist’s Autumn Exhibition (Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling) - held at the Charlottenborg Palace in Copenhagen in 1952 and 1953, the Danish artists association’s ‘Den Frie Udstilling’ (The Free Exhibition) held annually at Østerbrogade (now renamed Oslo Plads), Copenhagen in 1952. In 1955 Horup exhibited at the newly restored Aalborghallen (now the Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center) in Aalborg, Denmark and in 1956 he was invited to exhibit at the Exhibition of Danish Crafts and Crafts (Den Permanente) in the Vesterbrogade district of Copenhagen.

Horup was also a motorsports enthusiast and as an amateur rally driver often frequented the training track near Hvidsten in the late 1950s / early 1960s. He was very proud of his Austin Healey 3000 which he bought in 1962 (apparently after a particularly good month of paintings sold) from the driver Gunnar Andersen.

Knud Horup died in 1973, at the age of 47.

Love the simple perfect shape
Size: 11, Color: Chestnut
The problem of the sides rubbing can be solved by stepping on the back till flat as if wearing sandals. This bends the side enough to never rub again when worn in the normal way.

Have used these shoes continually for the past 10 years. I really appreciated they continue to be a standard size and style without any deviations so that I can reliably reorder these and count on them fitting exactly as expected.

Nice shirt.
Color: Black, Size: XX-Large
Good neck height, not too high, firm neck grip without the choke feel. Clean look when wearing under an open shirt or looks good alone, Soft feel against the skin, and it washes well, no pulling or color fade. semi-form-fitting on the body, but not tight for the size. priced well.
