✍️ Free laser engraving — upon order

Indicate the desired text when ordering: initials, first name, date or short message. Laser engraving deeply marks the leather, permanently, without risk of fading or peeling over time. This is the difference between a simple case and a personal object that accompanies its owner for years.

A first engraving is offered on the Voyageur Pocket. To go further — engraving a logo (company, club, event) or additional engraving area in addition to the one already included — add the dedicated option: Customization by logo / additional engraving — Voyageur Collection.

What to engrave on the Voyageur Pocket?

🔤
Initials or first name
"J.M.D." or "Jean" — sober, elegant, timeless. The classic engraving that never gets old.
📅
Memorable date
Wedding, birth, anniversary, retirement — a date engraved for a permanent memory.
💬
Short message
"For the great moments" — a thought engraved in the leather forever.

Why a pocket case for your cigars?

Carrying a loose cigar in a jacket pocket exposes it to two enemies: mechanical shocks (cracked wrapper, crushed foot) and rapid drying out in the open air. A rigid genuine leather case like the Voyageur Pocket protects the cigar's structure and slows down moisture loss, for an outing or an evening. It's not a humidor — it doesn't maintain humidity long-term — but an ideal transport protection for carrying 1 to 3 cigars taken from your humidor in the morning and intended to be smoked during the day.

The 60 ring gauge format of the Voyageur Pocket is rare for a pocket case: most compact models stop at 50-52 ring gauge. This allows you to carry large modern vitolas (Gordo, Magnum, Doble Robusto) that classic cases refuse. The magnetic closure secures the contents without a cumbersome clasp, and the dedicated pocket keeps the cigar cutter within reach.

Choosing your pack: the Solo version is suitable if you already own a cigar cutter — the dedicated pocket will accommodate it perfectly. The Tandem version adds a coordinated steel guillotine cigar cutter, ready to fit into the pocket: the complete duo, ideal as a gift or to start a cigar ritual from scratch.

Compatible formats and brands

Compatible with 60 ring gauge max, 165 mm: Cohiba Siglo Montecristo No.2 Romeo y Julieta Corona Partagas Serie D Davidoff No.2 Bolivar Robusto

Solo Version: the cigar cutter pocket is present, but the cigar cutter is not included in this version — it must be ordered separately or by choosing the Tandem version. Find our complete range of cigar cutters to complement your Pocket.

60 ring gauge in pocket format. The Voyageur Pocket is one of the rare pocket cases to accept a 60 ring gauge — most compact cases stop at 50-52 ring gauge. Check the length of your cigars: the limit is 165 mm. Standard Churchills (178 mm) slightly exceed this limit; some shorter formats (155-165 mm) will fit.

Voyageur Pocket Maintenance

Best practices
  • Outer leather — use a soft, slightly damp cloth for marks. Nourishing leather balm 1 to 2 times a year to maintain flexibility.
  • Engraved area — wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid oily products directly on the engraving as they may reduce contrast.
  • Magnetic closure — avoid placing it near an automatic watch or sensitive electronic devices that are susceptible to magnets.
  • Storage — away from direct light and heat. The natural patina of the leather develops with use.

🎁 The most personal cigar gift

The free engraving makes the Voyageur Pocket unique: initials, first name, or date engraved into the leather make it an item that cannot be duplicated. The Tandem version adds the matching cigar cutter for a complete duo, ready to use upon receipt. Ideal for a birthday, wedding, Father's Day, retirement party, or a memorable business gift. Complete it with a lighter for a full engraved gift set.

Frequently asked questions

Is the engraving really free?
Yes — laser engraving is included at no extra charge on the Voyageur Pocket. Indicate the desired text when ordering or in a note. Engraving is done before shipping: allow an additional 1 to 2 days for processing.
What is the difference between the Solo and Tandem versions?
The Solo version includes the Voyageur Pocket case with its free engraving; the cigar cutter pocket is present but the accessory is not included. The Tandem version adds a steel guillotine cigar cutter that fits into the dedicated pocket. Choose Solo if you already have equipment, or Tandem for a complete, ready-to-use duo.
Does the Voyageur Pocket accept Churchill (178 mm) cigars?
The 47 ring gauge of a Churchill is compatible (below the 60 ring gauge limit). However, the standard length of 178 mm exceeds the case's 165 mm limit. Check the exact length of your Churchills — some shorter formats (155-165 mm) may fit.
How does the magnetic closure work?
A magnet integrated into the flap attaches to a magnetic plate on the body of the case — opening and closing with one motion, without a clip clasp. The magnetic force keeps the case closed in a pocket without risk of accidental opening, while remaining smooth to open. Avoid placing the case directly against an automatic watch: the magnet could interfere with the movement.
Does the Voyageur Pocket maintain humidity like a humidor?
No — it's a carrying case, not a humidor. It effectively protects the cigar's structure from shocks and slows down drying during an outing or evening, but it does not maintain humidity for several days. Take your cigars out of your humidor on the day you plan to smoke them. For long-term storage, use a humidor.
How do I care for the leather of the Voyageur Pocket?
A nourishing leather balm 1 to 2 times a year is sufficient to maintain suppleness. For common marks, use a slightly damp soft cloth. On the engraved area, use a dry cloth only — oily products can reduce the contrast of the engraving. Genuine leather naturally patinas with use and gains character.
Is the Voyageur Pocket case a good gift?
It is one of the most appreciated cigar gifts: the free engraving makes it unique and personal, and its pocket format makes it usable on every outing. The magnetic closure and cigar cutter pocket make it the most practical case in the collection. The Tandem version, paired with a lighter, forms a complete and memorable cigar gift.

Wonderful and short introduction to plate tectonics for those with little background in Earth science or mathematics
Format: Paperback
Molnar does an excellent job explaining key elements of plate tectonics. His book is understandable even for those with little background in geology or geophysics. Molnar, an expert on mountain building, nicely explains how collisions of plates with continents atop cause mountain belts to form. He also questions the limitations of plate tectonics in explaining formation of such mountains. Understanding Molnar's very short book requires little mathematics. An ideal text for college science courses for non-science majors, and for those who want to understand the evolution of Earth's geological features and phenomena.

Easy to read
Format: Paperback
The book was an easy to read discussion of plate tectonics. The technical terms were easily understood and presented in an interest manner. Technically sound and entertaining is a winning combination for a science book! I wold recommend this book to anyone interested in the topic but is not a scientist in the field.

Very short and very good
Format: eTextbook
I read this book or one similar to it my senior year in high school 1970. It absolutely caught my attention as a way to explain why the continents had separated from Gondwanaland. I really liked revisiting the theory in light of the advances made since then

I love VSI on Kindle
Format: eTextbook
The thing is they take a long time to read because of the look up feature. It's like reading a book in the Library of Congress.

There are few who are capable of telling the story ...
Format: Paperback
There are few who are capable of telling the story of plate techtonics including critical details. Peter Molnar is one of those chosen few who can deliver such a story succinctly and precisely.
