Pro-Tip: Because this bit features a long 1-1/4" cutting length, it is tempting to cut deep slots in one pass. However, to extend the life of the bit and ensure a clean finish, you should take multiple passes. A good rule of thumb is to cut no deeper than the bit's diameter (3/8") in a single pass. This prevents the bit from overheating and keeps your router motor from bogging down.
