Our Goat Milk Cream (previously known as Capra CreamÃÆ€™¢Ã‚¾¢) starts as fresh goat milk harvested from our happy goats on our farm in the Pacific Northwest and then dried using Refractance Window Dryer technology which uses minimal heat and refracted light to provide a shelf-stable, wholesome, and delicious goat milk cream.
What is Capra Cream?
Capra Cream goat milk cream starts as fresh goat milk harvested from the happy goats on their farm in the Pacific Northwest. It is then run through a cream separator that extracts the cream from the milk using no chemicals. They dry this concentrated cream using a Refractance Window Dryer which uses minimal heat and refracted light to provide a shelf-stable, wholesome, and delicious goat milk cream. The dried flakes are then simply added to the bottle with no further processing applied.
Why is CLA Important?
Goat milk cream possesses several important essential fatty acids the most significant being Conjugated Linoleic Acid also abbreviated as CLA (see Fig 1). CLA is well known in the health and nutrition world and has been regarded for its health benefits for decades. CLA is only found in the meat and milk of grass-fed ruminants (cows, goats, deer). Goat milk cream also contains a much higher level of medium-chain fatty acids then cow milk cream.
Why isnÃÆ€™¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢€š¬Ã…¡¬t the goat milk cream in powder form?
Capra Cream contains far too much fat to be milled using our available technology. The flakes can be easily ground with a mortar/pestle and simply added to a smoothie or hot coffee.
