Een schaduwdoek is dé stijlvolle en effectieve oplossing om u tegen de warmte en schadelijke UV-stralen te beschermen. Bijvoorbeeld op uw terras, in de tuin, boven de zandbak, op uw oprit of bij het zwembad. Door de kwaliteit van het productmateriaal en de montagesets zijn de Kopu® schaduwdoeken ook zeer geschikt voor zakelijke doeleinden zoals horecagelegenheden, buitenevenementen of kinderdagverblijven. Dit schaduwdoek kan de hele zomer buiten blijven hangen en is snel en eenvoudig op te hangen en te verwijderen. Door de HDPE geweven stof is het vuilafstotend en verkleurt het niet snel.

Wat is HDPE?
Onze waterdoorlatende schaduwdoeken zijn gemaakt van hoge kwaliteit HDPE 280 gram/m2. HDPE is de afkorting voor Hight Density Poly-Ethylene. HDPE is een kunststof vezel die de een perfecte eigenschap heeft voor zonnedoeken/schaduwdoeken en dit materiaal, zeker de zwaardere stofkwaliteit zoals Kopu gebruikt wordt uitsluitend door kwaliteit leveranciers. Het staat bekend om de hoge dichtheid van het materiaal waardoor het een Uv-bescherming biedt van 90% tot 95%. HDPE neemt geen vocht op, is zelfs vochtafstotend.
Polyethyleen heeft een hoge treksterkte en is bestand tegen rek. HDPE is 100% recyclebaar na gebruik. Daarbij heeft dit materiaal de eigenschap dat het schimmelwerend is en laat het water en wind door. Ideaal dus voor schaduwdoeken!
Waterdicht of waterdoorlatend?
U heeft de keuze uit een waterdoorlatend of waterafstotend schaduwdoek ook wel zonnezeil geheten, waarbij het verschil zit in de structuur van het doek. Een waterdoorlatend schaduwdoek is gemaakt van HDPE, is stevig kunststof en heeft een meer open structuur. Dit zorgt ervoor dat dit schaduwdoek water zal doorlaten.
Een waterdicht schaduwdoek is gemaakt van Polyester. Dit heeft een dichtere weefselstructuur en zorgt hierdoor voor een optimale bescherming wanneer het regent. Het is hierbij wel belangrijk dat u het doek aflopend ophangt zodat het water eraf kan lopen. De bescherming tegen UV-straling is ongeveer 85% en is iets minder dan bij niet-waterafstotende doeken. Ook zijn ze minder bestand tegen harde wind en windstoten. De Waterdichte doeken van Kopu® hebben getapete naden waardoor doorlekken wordt geminimaliseerd.
Schaduwdoek montage
Bij de levering ontvangt u een uitgebreide handleiding. Schaduwdoeken zijn eenvoudig om te monteren. Er zijn een aantal punten die je moet weten zodat je optimaal gebruik maakt van de eigenschappen en lang plezier hebt van je schaduwdoek. In het kort geven we u alvast belangrijke aandachtspunten.
• Een zonnezeil of schaduwdoek wordt gemeten vanaf het uiterste punt van de hoek, van metalen hoek tot metalen hoek.
• Om een doek goed op te spannen heb je minimaal 30 cm in de lengte nodig en 20 cm in de breedte op iedere hoek. Doe dit met het meegeleverde touw of een metalen spandraad of een ketting.
• Een goed schaduwdoek is concaaf gesneden, dat wil zeggen dat het hol gesneden is voordat het genaaid is. Hierdoor is het doek in het midden smaller dan in de hoeken. Door de conclaaf uitgesneden zijden heeft een schaduwdoek een grotere trekweerstand waardoor het spanningen zoals bij wind kan weerstaan.
• Monteer het ophang oog van het doek niet direct aan het bevestigingspunt, maar altijd een touw of staaldraad er tussen te monteren.
• Vervolgens is het van belang dat er ruimte is om het doek op te spannen en na te spannen. Dit doe je het beste met zogenaamde spanbouten die we in de montagesets aanbieden.
Onderhoud
Al is het ook mogelijk het doek ook in de winter buiten te laten hangen adviseren wij dit niet te doen. Om de gebruikersduur te maximaliseren adviseren wij om de doeken zeker in de winter binnen op te bergen. De stof van schaduwdoeken is eenvoudig te reinigen met lauw water, een zachte borstel en zachte reinigingsmiddelen zoals groene zeep. Een goed opgespannen schaduwdoek kan veel regen en wind verdragen. Echter, bij een storm (vanaf windkracht 6) en bij sneeuwval adviseren wij om het doek te verwijderen. Zorg dat het schaduwdoek goed droog is voordat het wordt opgeborgen.

Perfect for aggressive chewers — my dog loves them!

I’m so impressed with the Native Pet Yak Cheese Himalayan Dog Chews! My pit-bull (Queen) is a medium-sized dog who is an aggressive chewer who usually destroys treats in minutes, but these last a long time and keep her completely occupied. They’re 100% natural, have no weird smell, and don’t leave any mess behind. I also love that they help clean her teeth while she enjoys them. It feels good knowing she’s getting something healthy and satisfying at the same time. Definitely a must-have for any dog owner looking for durable, natural chews — I’ll be buying more!

A bit disappointed in our most recent order.

**update 11/15** Native Pet reached out directly and offered a full refund. I appreciate that they took my feedback seriously and took steps to resolve the issue. We love Native Pet and have gotten several other products that our pup not only enjoyed but also all did what they say they do. Native Pet does make high quality goods for pets and we will continue to be customers. I did not enjoy writing my 3 star review but I wanted to make sure that the brand that we love was aware we didn’t get what we were expecting for the first time in over a year of purchasing. I’m upping my review to 4 stars, but please know that these yak chews are seriously amazing if you can ensure you get the right size for your dog!!

Before our most recent order I would have given these 5 stars. We have been buying these yak chews since we adopted our rescue girl in July 2022. These are by far the best “bones” we have been able to find since they are fully edible and can transform into crunchy treats when they get to the end of their life, and they do not upset our baby’s tummy. We love these and have the 3 pack on auto ship. However, our most recent order received on 11/9 is a disappointment.
We originally bought the medium chews when we first got our dog because she is medium sized and 45-50lbs, but she turned out to be a big chewer. The medium were too small for her and she was able to bite off large chunks and go through them too fast. We switched to the large which have always been thicker and just a little bit longer so she went through them a little slower and couldn’t get as many big chunks off.
Our 11/9 order contained what appears to be the same size as the medium chews, which we don’t get anymore for the reasons stated above. I added a photo of what we received next to pieces left from our prior order. You can clearly see the pieces from the prior order are thicker (circled in green). I didn’t spend $28 to get medium sized yak chews. I understand they can all be slightly different sizes even within the same package, and we sometimes get thicker/thinner/darker/lighter chews, but these are just very SMALL compared to the other large chews we’ve received over the past year. It seems strange that I would suddenly need to start purchasing the extra large chews to get the same substantial size as the large ones I was getting before, unless there’s been a change in the product design itself.
I really hate leaving negative reviews. I prefer to only leave reviews when I have a great experience because I think it’s important to share those things rather than complain. If I really have an issue, I usually reach out to the seller if I can. In this case, I can’t find a way to contact the seller to ask if there was a change in the product or if this was an error but I guess I can go through an Amazon customer service rep if needed. This product can’t be returned which is typical of food-like items, but I would like to know why this order seems so inconsistent from what we’ve gotten in the past.

Dogs LOVE and My Belongings Are Safe(r)

I have two small dogs (~13LBS) and they LOVE to chew. Those two will take anything new and chew it. ANYTHING. Especially if it's plastic. The damage to things like eye glasses, medication, valued toys, etc has been significant. They have 50 toys, but nothing is better than good old fashioned chewing for these two.
Desperate for anything that will keep their attention long enough to distract them from my stuff, I gave these a try. They LOVE these things! Bonus Fun - give virtually identical chews to each dog and instead of them each happily chewing, they like to torment each other by taking the chew from the other and instead of just moving on to the other, they wrestle each other for possession of whichever chew has been identified as "IT" that day. Many hours of fun! The best part, they always have something hearty to chew, which makes them less likely to steal my stuff.
I buy the Medium and they last about a week since they are small dogs. So, while these are pricey, they do last a while for my little guys. I have tried a few other brands of Yak Chews and these ones seem to last the longest. Another brand I got, they were able to eat the entire one in an afternoon instead of lasting a long time like these, so they are definitely higher quality and sturdier than other brands.

Portable, no smell, keeps my dog busy

I started buying these for my dog a few years ago at the recommendation of the guide dog school trainer. They are fantastic! They are hard and almost seem like a bone, but they have no smell and are nice and dry and not greasy. They are easy for me to put in a bag and take with me if I need to keep my dog busy or quiet while I am doing something else, such as when I take my dog to a restaurant or speaking engagement as he can be kind of high energy. My guide dog is a yellow lab and weighs about 70 pounds. I keep the small ones handy, and it takes him about 15 up to 30 minutes to finish it. The larger sizes are good if you need something that will last longer. These have been absolutely a great resource for my dog and I highly recommend them!

Very good chew and great customer service

We have been ordering Native Pet's medium Yak chews from Amazon for some time now as a subscriber item, averaging a 10 pack about every 3 weeks. We chose the Native Pet brand based on the many positive reviews and had been very happy with our choice with the exception of our most recent 2 orders.
As with any natural product, there are differences in the chews in every package. Since the chews are very hard, we prefer the ones that are just a little "softer" and wear away as our dog chews them versus the slightly more brittle chews that can have larger chunks break off, potentially presenting a choking hazard. With that said, most of the chews we received were of the former consistency and hardness until we received a pack where the screw top was very loose and the foil seal was compromised which may have allowed them to dry a bit more than normal. We gave the chews to our dog (I probably shouldn't have in retrospect) and EVERY chew was now brittle and broke off large chunks. The next order arrived in a large envelope from Amazon and the contents were completely out of the package with the screw top completely off, a black powdery substance at the bottom of the envelope and inner portion of the screw top, and the moisture packet and 10 chews were loose in the envelope. This time they went into the garbage.
I decided to call Native Pet and let them know there may be a rough handling issue at Amazon, or an issue with their shipping... or whatever.....but that there was definitely a customer issue.
I received a text message almost immediately from Pat Barron at Native Pet giving me a direct email to communicate the circumstances and to attach some photos. Pat was appreciative for the notification and photos, genuinely concerned with the quality of their product, and graciously offered a replacement as a gesture of good will from Native Pet.
It was outstanding customer service from an individual and company proving they actually care for you as a customer and for your continued satisfaction with their product.
