Siddharta Gautama leefde ongeveer 2500 jaar geleden in het gebied dat nu India is. Hij werd geboren als zoon van een koning en groeide op in overvloed. Toch voelde hij, net als wij allemaal, een diepere onrust en leegte in zichzelf, ondanks alles wat hij had.

Hij kreeg onderwijs van de beste leraren, maar dit bracht hem geen voldoening. Daarom zocht hij verder bij religieuze leraren van zijn tijd en leerde hij mediteren. Uiteindelijk trok hij zich terug in stilte, op zoek naar een manier om blijvend geluk te vinden.

Op 35-jarige leeftijd bereikte hij die verlichting. Daarna reisde hij door het land om zijn inzichten te delen, zodat ook anderen het pad konden volgen naar rust en tevredenheid. Zijn leer omvatte de vier edele waarheden en het nobele achtvoudige pad, die uitnodigen om bewuster te leven en vrede te ervaren.

I wish I could give you a sense of how enjoyable and comically entertaining it is to play with him using it. ORIG. REVIEW: Bought this for a little 8 lb. aggressive chewer who loves to play fetch. I initially bought the 2" Chuckit! Ultra ball previously. It is the most amazingly durable product I've found for this pup. Very firm, but not hard on his teeth. He's very quick and agile, so I thought he would like the eye-mouth coordination challenge of a ball that changes direction suddenly. I guess my only disappointment with the product is that the ball is hollow instead of having a solid core like the Ultra ball, so he doesn't enjoy chomping down on it the same way. The erratic bounce feature is entertaining, but the pup is a little skittish, so he was intimidated at first. He's warmed up to it, but not with the same enthusiasm as the Ultra ball. Having said all this, I don't fault the product for the rating I gave it. It is a quality-made product that performs as advertised. I just didn't anticipate that my dog would be less enthusiastic than I thought.
