DESCRIPTION
Aphasia affects approximately one-third of individuals who experience a stroke. It can also result from other neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), brain tumors, infections, dementia, or other neurodegenerative diseases. The assessment and treatment of aphasia involves a complex interplay of factors, and no single intervention is appropriate for all individuals. Successful aphasia rehabilitation requires a personalized, evidence-based approach that considers the unique needs, goals and communication environments of each individual.

This course equips speech-language pathologists (SLPs) with a comprehensive framework for clinical decision-making in aphasia rehabilitation, centered on the principles of intensity, saliency and specificity. Participants will explore a wide range of evidence-based aphasia treatments, with detailed examples to enhance their clinical toolbox. Key components of the course include strategies for selecting individualized interventions, a review of current evidence and practices in Communication Partner Training (CPT), with program examples and implementation guidance, insights into texting behaviors of people with aphasia, including barriers, assessment tools and support strategies. Application of concepts through in-depth case studies for real-world clinical planning will progress throughout the course. A live panel with individuals with aphasia and their care partners will highlight lived experiences, challenges and strategies for life participation. Finally, group brainstorming will aid clinicians with confidence to improve access to appropriate aphasia interventions and ensure the long-term viability of aphasia support groups. By the end of this course, SLPs will be better prepared to deliver personalized, evidence-based services that support meaningful communication and life engagement for individuals with aphasia.

Good for light stuff
Color: Black, Size: 15 inches, Color: Black, Size: 15 inches
Good product. Very light though and if it’s in dry wall won’t hold something really heavy. I don’t think it would hold 20 pounds just light. I put over my washer and dryer and put one right on top that way I can put heavy stuff on that side without it weighing down and being ripped out of the wall. I won’t be putting heavy stuff on the right side I used 4 pieces and the wall is about 60-62 inches long

Perfect sized floating shelves
Color: Black, Size: 24 inches, Color: Black, Size: 24 inches
These are great and the perfect width. I had my contractor install them because my tile had to have a hole drilled into it. I love that it looks seemless and flat to the tile. New bathroom renovation. I am very pleased. Holds a few towels also candles and a little plant with extra space. Perfect for a minimal look or if you have a small bathroom. Color was spot on.

Not What I Expected
Color: White, Size: 32 inches
This set of floating shelves was a disappointment. They’re advertised as holding 20 pounds, but mine began to bend with barely 10 pounds on them. All the screws and anchors were installed tightly and correctly, yet the metal brackets still warped under minimal weight. The shelves look fine on the wall, but I’m leaving them up only because I don’t want to patch a dozen holes—not because they’re sturdy. Definitely not the quality or strength I expected.
