From the bratty energy of “Slack Motherfucker” to the driving urgency of “Let It Go” and the jangly bite of “Sick to Move,” the album wears its influences proudly – you’ll hear shades of The Buzzcocks, Hüsker Dü, and Sonic Youth, with just a hint of Southern sparkle thanks to nods toward R.E.M. and Drivin’ n’ Cryin’.
