DJ Quik’s Safe & Sound is a G-Funk masterpiece that’s as smooth as it is savage. Originally released in 1995, this Be With 2LP reissue revives Quik’s sun-drenched West Coast classic with full sonic flair - plus the bonus cut "Tanqueray", once a hidden CD-only gem.

Crafted at the height of G-Funk’s golden age, Safe & Sound saw DJ Quik ascend from streetwise producer to full-blown musical auteur. Blending live instrumentation with his signature rubbery synths and funky basslines, he forged a vibe that was more laidback cruise than drive-by drama. Tracks like "Safe + Sound", "Somethin’ 4 Tha Mood", and "Summer Breeze" showcase his gift for laidback storytelling over rich, textured grooves.

But don’t get it twisted - this isn’t all sunshine and slow jams. Quik comes for blood on "Dollaz + Sense", one of the coldest diss tracks in hip-hop history, and he doesn’t let up on "Let You Havit". Still, it’s his flair for mixing mood and melody that makes this album iconic - whether he's unpacking trauma or recounting sexcapades with a wink.

VIVA has been my favorite paper towel for 10 years!! I have been given the name of the paper towel nat** (I do not want to offend anyone). I make you use them only for certain things and use as few as possible. This is due to the price. But with Viva they can be rinsed and used many times, like when wiping countertops. This makes them go far for the money and I have to not be as strict. I thought I would try this new type as it looked like it would be more cost effective. I like them but there are so many less, we are going through them very fast. I will be going back to the original type when these are gone. I decorate cakes, using both fondant, and buttercream icings. These towels are fantastic for smoothing out the icings. Look up the technique on YouTube. They are the best for this. I can never be without my Viva but will go back to.the original type.
