Rare first edition, contained in part 2 of volume XXII of Materialy dlia geologii Rossii, pp. [219]-268. Kyshtym, in the Chelyabinsk region in the Eastern Ural, is now more infamous for the largely concealed nuclear disaster of 1957; however, at the beginning of the 20th century serious prospecting for metals and minerals, which led to the development of the local glass and metallurgical industries was carried out. In summer 1899 professor Suschinskii found granite, quartz, iron compounds as well as traces of gold.
