Unlock the secrets of the intersection between global corporations and political power with 'The Political Power of Global Corporations.' This insightful book by John Mikler delves into how major corporations influence and shape state agendas, transcending the traditional view of businesses as mere profit-maximizers. With an ISBN of 9780745698465 and published by John Wiley & Sons in 2018, this 256-page work redefines our understanding of the role corporations play in contemporary governance.Discover how global corporations operate as significant political actors, leveraging their economic strengths to modify governmental policies and assert their influence worldwide. Mikler challenges readers to reconsider the identities and strategies of these multinational entities, illustrating how their operations are intricately woven into the political fabric of the states and regions from which they originate.
As you explore the compelling arguments presented, you will gain insights into the intricate relationships they cultivate, the strategic decisions they make, and the narratives they craft to support their business interests and market acceptance. This book serves as both a critical resource for scholars and a thought-provoking read for anyone interested in global economics, politics, and corporate influence.

Description:
We have long been told that corporations rule the world, their interests seemingly taking precedence over states and their citizens. Yet, while states, civil society, and international organizations are well drawn in terms of their institutions, ideologies, and functions, the world's global corporations are often more simply sketched as mechanisms of profit maximizationIn this book, John Mikler re-casts global corporations as political actors with complex identities and strategies. Debunking the idea of global corporations as exclusively profit-driven entities, he shows how they seek not only to drive or modify the agendas of states but to govern in their own right. He also explains why we need to re-territorialize global corporations as political actors that reflect and project the political power of the states and regions from which they hailWe know the global corporations' names, we know where they are headquartered, and we know where they invest and operate. Economic processes are increasingly produced by the control they possess, the relationships they have, the leverage they employ, the strategic decisions they make, and the discourses they create to enhance acceptance of their interests. This book represents a call to study how they do so, rather than making assumptions based on theoretical abstractions.

Please check the size!!!
Color: lake blue, Color: lake blue
Even though the caption says for small, Med and Large breed, make sure you pay attention to the size. With the price I thought it was a reg size dog toy, but it's about the size of my hand. I usually dont read the reviews often on dog toys (stuffys) but will definitely, start. I was shocked when I opened the package.
Not sure of durability yet. He will not get it for a few more days (his b-day) but feels like its made well.
Update: (See pic) He had it for 15 min.. it didnt last. He doesnt typically have issues

My dog loves this guy!!
Color: gray & pink
This is the cutest little guy and my dog loves him. He knows him by name, he is tough and holds up incredibly well. My dog can give it a good chew but no problem! Make more cute ones and we will give them all names for him to play with.
