The D-segment lined bifocal section of the lens is 15mm high and 31mm wide, and sits well below the centre of the lens so as not to interfere with your straight ahead vision. Simply glance down through the magnified section for clear close-up reading and vision. The D-segment section of the lens has a visible line along the top of it.

What Are Bifocal Sunglasses?

Standard reading sunglasses have a single prescription strength for near-vision across the whole lens, while bifocal sunglasses have a magnifying near-vision section in the bottom third of the lens with the top two-thirds of the lens being just a regular sunglass lens with no magnification power applied.

The magnification power shown is the power of the near-vision (reading) section of the lens.
