Animal shelters and rescues across the country are overcrowded and overwhelmed. With the number of adopters decreasing and intakes increasing, thousands of cats and dogs are without loving families. They need your help.

Food is one of the most vital needs for animal shelters and their most significant expense. Unfortunately, more money spent on food means less funding for other life-saving programs for the animals in their care.

Greater Good Charities’ in-kind pet food program sends nutritious meals to animal shelters across the country to lend a helping hand. This allows shelters to focus on caring for the animals and finding them all loving homes.

Donate now to ensure shelter dogs and cats get the food they need.

Meet Cody

This "unique" husky mix was overlooked for over 500 days before he finally found his person. He watched his entire family find homes and wondered when it would be his turn.

His patience paid off and he is living his best life. Your generous donations helped provide the food and treats to keep his belly full. Thank you!

Meet Phoenix

Phoenix is finally getting the food and care she deserves thanks in part to your donations. She arrived severely emaciated and in need of nutritious food. She is recovering physically and emotionally in a loving foster home and sends her thanks.

Meet Darling

Your donations are helping feed rescued dogs like Darling. Her transformation is amazing and she is finally living the life she deserves.

She was found starving in a backyard competing with a larger dog for scraps. Both dogs were rescued and are finally getting the care and food they need.

Darling arrived weighing just six pounds but has returned to a healthy weight thanks to your support.

Meet Maverick

The poor pup was starving and found abandoned on the streets in Oklahoma. He was taken in by a small rescue and finally given regular meals thanks to your donations. The nutritious food helped Maverick regain his strength and grow big and strong.

Thank you for your continued support!

Meet Hornsby.

This adorable pup was part of an "accidental litter" that were being offered for free. A rescue stepped in to ensure the puppies received the care they needed and found proper homes.

All the puppies were named after baseball things with the largest one named "Hornsby" after Roger Hornsby. Your donations helped feed these growing pups and made sure Hornsby, who loves to eat, always has a full belly. Thank you!

Meet Milo.

The four-year-old poodle mix has a sensitive stomach and needs a low-fat diet that is easy to digest. He was surrendered to a rescue and shortly after arriving consumed high-fat food that sent him to the emergency vet.

He was diagnosed with pancreatitis but is doing much better thanks to your generous support.

Your donations are helping him stay happy and healthy with nutritious food made for dogs with gastrointestinal issues. Milo sends his thanks.

Meet Kit.

The ten-year-old Bengal cat was surrendered by his owners to an overcrowded animal shelter in New York and ended up on the euthanasia list due to his poor health.

Thankfully, he was rescued just in time by Rock N Rescue.

Sadly, he has terminal nasal cancer but is improving thanks in part to your donations. The nutritious cat food and supplements are making a huge difference.

Kit will live the rest of his life in a loving home.

Meet Paco.

Your generous donations are changing and saving the lives of shelter animals, like Paco.

The five-year-old Chihuahua was pulled from a rural shelter just in time. He was unable to use his hind legs and suffering from severe heartworm disease.

The pet food that your donations helped provide not only started Paco on his journey to recovery but also allowed the rescue to use the saved funds towards his medical care.

Meet Demi.

Your donations are making a difference to shelter pets like Demi. This tiny husky, barely 22 pounds, had almost no fur covering her lower body. Her skin, raw and inflamed, was a painful shade of pink when she was rescued.

After months of care and proper food, she started to gain weight and her fur grew back. Today, Demi isn’t just surviving—she’s thriving. Thank you for your continued support!

Meet John Stephen.

This orphaned kitten was living in a truck for a week before he was rescued. He was taken in by a foster family who fed him nutritious food, thanks to your donations. He continues to grow and thrive.

Our small, rural rescue in western Oklahoma would not be able to save as many as we do if it wasn't for the help we receive from you all. Thanks so much!"

Meet Ellie.

Her owner went into a nursing home and all her pets were left homeless. It would appear that there wasn't much food in the household because Ellie came to us emaciated. Thanks to your donations Ellie received the food she needed to regain her strength.

Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts shared, "Watching Ellie eagerly eat her meals is a reminder of the hardship she endured. Ellie's story is, unfortunately, all too common. As a rescue, we want to do everything we can to make right what went wrong but we can only do so much based on financial restraints."

Meet Mona.

She arrived at Animal Protective Association of Missouri in desperate need of food and medical care. She was suffering from a serious skin infection, malnutrition and was heartworm positive. Thanks to your donations, she received nutritious meals, a warm blanket to rest on, and all the care she needed to make a full recovery.

Whistle away my friend!
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1), Style: Pack of 2
Love it! My dog loves it! The people at the dog park love it! The whistle is the best thing about these balls but the hard durable rubber and the denseness of the ball really make it fly. Let me quickly breakdown each of these: First the sound is like a...well, whistle coming from a human but oscillating and slightly different. It helps the dogs track where it goes and helps them find it better when it is getting dark (while flying of course, not when it is stationary). It barely makes a sound when throwing it with the wind but really howls when throwing it into the wind. This is why you get this ball and most everyone at the dog park perks up and wonders what that is, asks about it, and thinks it is very cool; which it is! Next is the durable rubber which doesn't have a single bite mark or split yet in 4 months of constant daily play for about 1 1/2 hours every day! The dog chews it as he brings it back and other dogs steal the ball and run with it while "killing" it perpetually and it has held up great. I don't claim this is going to be Kong ball durable but it is very well chosen rubber. Last is the denseness of the ball which really makes to go far in a chuckit launcher. One doesn't really notice how far this goes until going back to a tennis ball and realizing how short a tennis ball goes compared to this. The whistler ball, and presumably other chuckit rubber balls (glow, irregular bounce), go 30-40% farther when I throw then using the longest chuckit thrower. This is excellent and wears my retriever out even faster; not to mention the rippling muscles he has from sprinting that whole way! Overall I got both ball several months ago and we started with the blue ball and haven't had to touch the orange one yet. This is his goto ball at the park and it is the most popular ball, bar none, for all the dogs to steal. The bright blue aspect, the rubber aspect, the sound, and exclusivity of it make it coveted by dogs and owners. I might be gushing and glowing over this ball a bit much but I tend to do that when something unexpected ends up being part of your everyday life and blows you away at how wonderful it is.

Great for dogs that are chewers
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1), Style: Pack of 2
These are wonderful for our dog. The bright colors help us find them when our dog can't. The size is perfect to play fetch. Our dog will chew on it a bit and it stays together and does not fall apart. That is a big bonus because our dog is a chewer!

It's A Whistler!
Size: Medium (Pack of 1), Style: Pack of 1
This Chuckit! Whistler Ball is basically a regular fetch toy that decided to become an annoying little teakettle mid-air. My dog goes absolutely nuts for it—every throw sounds like a tiny referee is shrieking "foul!" the whole way across the yard. He chases it harder than he chases the mailman, and bonus: I can actually find it in tall grass because it's screaming for help. Super bouncy, tough enough that he hasn't destroyed it yet (miracle), and now our walks sound like a low-budget horror movie.
