The Apex Plus set delivers powerful Strat-style tone with enhanced punch and clarity, making it ideal for Texas blues, rock, and beyond. From cutting lead tones to rich, dynamic rhythm sounds, the innovative design adds impressive midrange presence while retaining the sparkle and articulation associated with traditional single coils — all with exceptional hum-cancelling performance.
Designed for both stage and studio use, the twin-coil construction allows the strings to vibrate naturally without restriction. Unlike many noiseless pickups, the Apex Plus avoids the harsh or nasal character often associated with hum-cancelling designs. The result is a more authentic single coil response, including convincing “quack” tones in positions 2 and 4.
Designed for straightforward installation, each Apex Plus pickup measures just 20mm (0.8”) in height, making them compatible with both vintage and modern Strat-style pickup cavities without requiring any routing modifications. In another unique feature for noiseless pickups, the Apex Plus uses.
The pickups also feature staggered pole pieces for improved string-to-string balance and vintage-inspired response.
