Description:

Iron concentrations in the body must be strictly regulated: the responsibility of the HFE gene. Proteins on the surface of cells, encoded by the HFE gene, recognize iron levels to determine the produc- tion rate of hepcidin; hepcidin, primarily produced in liver and intestinal cells, is regarded as the “master” iron regulator hormone, accountable for mediating iron absorption.

Excess iron accumulation, associated with HFE mutations, has the ability to influence a condition known as hemochromatosis or iron overload.

HFE Assist is designed to for those with normal to low iron. Much of the food we consume is fortified with iron. Those with genetic variants in the iron-regulating genes may be at risk for absorbing excess iron, which may create excess inflammation and oxidative stress in the body. This product contains nutrients to reduce iron absorption and Lactoferrin to modulate iron usage. Taking one to two capsules with meals may be an effective way to support healthy iron levels.
