KIDS SEWING CAMP! 8-12 yrs
Kids 8 years - 12 years join us for a week of creative textile craft!
This camp includes teaching your child a variety of skills such as machine sewing, hand sewing, embroidery, block printing, upcycling and fabric collage.
For the machine sewing, your child will learn some sewing basics (or get a refresher if they've been to our classes before!), including learning the parts of the sewing machine, cutting fabric, sewing a straight line, and pivoting at corners. We'll provide the supplies and specific instructions and guide your child along the way to make some really fun projects.
Projects Kids Will Make
We'll dive into a variety of sewing and creative projects. Some of what we'll do:
- sew a pillow cover
- sew a pencil case or toiletries pouch
- upcycle a piece of clothing from home
- sew stuffed creatures
- decorate our own tote bags
- stitch an embroidered design
- make a unique work of art - a fabric collage
We'll also have games and other fun activities on hand if projects finish early.
Please pack a lunch for your child (no nuts, please!) and also a water bottle.
