8066184 Dryer Motor Pulley & 341241 Dryer Drum Belt

Key Features

  • High-Tension EPDM Drum Belt: The 341241 belt is manufactured from reinforced EPDM rubber, engineered to resist stretching and cracking under the high-temperature conditions of long drying cycles.
  • Precision-Threaded Motor Pulley: The 8066184 pulley is crafted from high-grade, abrasion-resistant metal, featuring a specialized internal thread designed to lock securely onto the motor shaft for slip-free power transfer.
  • Optimized 4-Rib Traction: The belt features a 4-rib, 3-groove profile that perfectly matches the motor pulley's channels, maximizing surface area contact to prevent slipping even when the drum is loaded with heavy, wet laundry.
  • Thermal Stability: Both components are designed to maintain their structural integrity and friction properties at temperatures exceeding 180°F, ensuring consistent performance during high-heat cycles.
  • Universal Drive System Match: This kit provides the critical bridge between the drive motor and the drum, restoring the mechanical rotation necessary for proper airflow and efficient drying.

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Dryer Motor Pulley 29 (8066184): WP8066184, AP6011686, PS11744884, 8578565, W10299847, 3394341, 3389627, WP8066184VP, 694871, PD00028572
  • Dryer Drum Belt (341241): AP2946843, PS346995, 341241VP, W10127457, W10131364, 3394651, 529597, FSP341241, 8066065, LB276

Compatibility & Fitment

This belt and pulley set is the standard drive replacement for the vast majority of top-lint-filter dryers manufactured by Whirlpool. Key compatible models and series include:

  • Whirlpool & Maytag: Fits hundreds of LER, LGR, MED, and MGD series models (e.g., LER4634EQ2, MEDC215EW1, LER4634PQ0).
  • Kenmore (110 Series): Compatible with many 110-prefix models produced by Whirlpool (e.g., LEQ8000KQ0, 110.60852990, 110.70802990).
  • Amana, Roper, & Estate: Direct fit for NED, NGD, RED, and TEDS series budget-friendly dryers.
  • Note: The 341241 belt measures approximately 92-1/4 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. Verify your belt length if your dryer is an extra-large or steam-capable model.

When to Replace

  • Drum Will Not Turn: The motor hums or runs, but the drum stays stationary, indicating the belt has snapped or the pulley has stripped its threads.
  • Loud Squealing or Chirping: A high-pitched noise during operation suggests the belt is slipping on a worn pulley or has become glazed and brittle.
  • Thumping Noises: A heavy thumping sound usually indicates the belt has a flat spot, a tear, or has begun to fray and hit the internal cabinet.
  • Burning Rubber Smell: Friction heat from a slipping belt or a jammed drum can cause a distinct acrid odor, signaling immediate failure.
  • Incomplete Drying: If the belt slips, the drum rotates too slowly, which reduces airflow and causes clothes to remain damp at the end of a cycle.

Installation Tips

  • Safety First: You MUST unplug the dryer or turn off the circuit breaker before beginning. This repair requires opening the main cabinet.
  • Accessing the Drive: On most models, you must remove the lint screen screws, pop the top panel, and remove the front bulkhead/door assembly to access the drum and motor.
  • Pulley Installation: The 8066184 pulley is **left-hand threaded** on some older motors but standard on most modern units. Check the rotation before applying force to avoid snapping the motor shaft.
  • The "Idler" Loop: To install the belt, loop it around the drum (ribs facing inward), then pull it under the idler pulley and over the motor pulley. This creates the "Z" or "S" shape required for proper tension.
  • Vacuum the Cabinet: While the dryer is open, use a vacuum to remove accumulated lint from the motor and heater housing. Lint buildup is the #1 cause of motor overheating and belt failure.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
