This set includes one bottle of 16 ounce Mystery Oil and One Round Applicator.Boos Block Mystery Oil should be applied regularly, to penetrate deep into the grain of the wood surface to protect and revitalize the wood fibers. Mystery Oil is Made in the USA from all natural ingredients and is food safe (NSF certified). The Boos Block applicator provides a fast, professional and easy way to apply Mystery Oil and John Boos board cream (sold separately) to your cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden bowls and utensils. The solid beech wood handle on the applicator provides a perfect grip for ease of control. The applicator includes a cap for easy storage and protection.Instructions:1.A minimum of once a month (depending upon the use and household conditions), apply an even coat of Boos Mystery oil to all surfaces of your wood cutting board using the Boos block applicator.2. Allow the Mystery oil to fully penetrate through the wood fibers overnight, then wipe off any excess oil.3. Apply additional oil to any visible dry spots or for any other necessary reasons. Do not over oil your cutting board.4. For additional protection, it is recommended to use Boos Block Board Cream (sold separately on ) to seal the top of the wood surface. When I first received it and placed it on, it continued to fall so I almost returned it. However, I found a method online that worked and it has not fallen since even after all the water and soap getting near it. I’ve placed it on a stainless steel sink so not sure if the method works on other surfaces. Clean the area with soap and water and then make sure there’s no soap residue. Make the water temperature hot and “heat up” both the steel surface and the suction. While it’s still wet, firmly place the suction and make sure it doesn’t move. That should do the trick!

Even after carefully cleaning the side of my deep sink with vinegar and washing the suction cups, they come loose about once a day. Giving them a hard push on seems to help, but not a cure. I revised the rating to average 3 stars. It really isn’t a problem in the sink.
