The 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner was an excellent vehicle off the showroom floor over a decade ago, and Toyota’s reputation for reliability and performance continues to draw the attention of both hardcore off-road enthusiasts and newcomers to the “3rd Gen” platform to this day. ICON engineers have assessed the 3rd Gen 4Runner front to back and developed components that work together to extract maximum performance out of the vehicle. With the ICON Stage 5 suspension system on and off-road performance is significantly improved with 2.5 Series Extended Travel Remote Reservoir Coilovers and 2.5 Aluminum Series Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks that feature ICON engineered coil springs, vehicle-specific shock valving, FK Rod End bearings, and high-quality CNC-machined components for superior damping and control. ICON’s CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve option adds to the adjustability of these shocks, allowing the end-user to adjust the ride characteristics of the vehicle with the turn of a knob. The 2.5 Aluminum Series coilovers are height adjustable from 0-3” of lift over stock, allowing the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. Fully serviceable shock absorbers mean that these components can be rebuilt or re-valved as necessary, providing a long service life and the ability to customize the ride quality for unique vehicle setups. The addition of an ICON tubular steel upper control arm kit provides increased wheel travel over stock while also offering alignment correction for improved overall handling. ICON engineered rear coil springs increase rear suspension performance while also providing 1" of rear end lift. Don't waste your money.
Instead of buying one from the local auto store, thought I'd save money and get this. Bad choice. Installed it and it didn't work. Took it to the auto shop to be tested and they said it didn't work. Cheap imitation of the the real thing.

Exceeds performance expectations of OEM fluids

You know I didn't think it would work as well I've heard all these horror stories but you know what this works better than the factory CVT fluid this stuff is great this is amazing be very careful to get your levels correct that goes without saying with any transmission but once you do that this fluid is amazing I have a better performance than when I had the new transmission I serve my CvT 35 to 40,000 miles I'm using it in a 2018 Mitsubishi outlander base model and I'm also running Yokohama geolander 015s on it. If you worry about tires for you Mitsubishi or any vehicle. I'm going to say you'll call when you lander whether it's a car or crossover or an SUV this tire is amazing it's best all around tire and your rain traction is phenomenal

Good Stuff!! All low speed shudder is gone.

I have a 2020 Nissan Altima SL 2.5l and Nissan is VERY specific about using ONLY NS3 transmission fluid. There are only a couple NS3 transmission fluid manufacturers...Nissan NS3 (Manufactured by Idemitsu), Idemitsu (a little cheaper than Nissan dealer), Triax, and Mannol (works good too).
Seeing as Nissan is still using Jatco CVT transmissions which are known to be very troublesome, and very expensive to replace I wouldn't try any of the so-called "universal" transmission fluids just to save $50 and end up replacing a $6000 transmission.
The Triax fluid seems to work very good in my car. I don't feel the shutter that I normally feel when driving slow and need to accelerate. The shudder is completely gone and operating smooth.
The old fluid had 50k miles and it was very dirty but didn't smell burnt.
I ended up doing 2 - 3 1/2 quart changes with 200 miles between the first and second change.
I plan on doing another 3.5/4 quart change every 15k miles since there is no way to completely drain the 7.4 quarts of transmission fluid. The first change, only 3.5 quarts drained from the pan.
