The Fumes' prowess is in its versatile LFO capabilities. The phaser LFO, despite its capacity to achieve rapid speeds, has been stretched to accommodate slower, deeper sweeps. The intuitive Speed knob allows precise control over the phaser's velocity, allowing users to add subtle movements into their tone. However, the Fumes doesn't stop there—it introduces a groundbreaking dry LFO. By manipulating the Intensity and Fumes knobs, users can fine-tune the alteration of the dry signal, ranging from gentle vibrato-like ripples to tremolo-like stutters, all simply controlled with the user-friendly interface.
Fumes offers an array of controls that cater to diverse musical preferences. The pedal features three simple-to-use knobs: Speed (S), controlling the phaser speed; Intensity (I), which dictates the intensity of the pushing/pulling of LFO; and Fumes (F), changing the speed of the shunting LFO. The placement of these controls makes for a simple and intuitive tweaking experience.
In terms of connectivity, the Fumes is equipped with input, output, and power jacks on the top making it extraordinarily pedalboard friendly. The power requirements are also super friendly requiring your standard, run-of-the-mill (Boss/1 Spot etc.) 2.1mm 9V center negative
To make Fumes users' lives even easier, Farm Pedals provides a selection of favorite settings to choose from to get started. From "The Lovely" with Speed set to Full Counter Clockwise (FCCW), Intensity at Noon, and Fumes at Full Counter Clockwise (FCCW), to the experimental "Gas Leak" configuration with Speed at 3, Intensity at Full Clockwise (FCW), and Fumes at Full Counter Clockwise (FCCW), these ready-made settings create starting points for new users to meddle.
