Similar to porcellionides pruinosus "powder mix" or porcellio scaber "lottery ticket", the vulgare “Gem mix” is an exciting mixture of various vulgare color morphs including wild type, magic potion and orange vigor. These cultures allow an opportunity to experiment with isolating color morphs and breeding different colorations and patterning. If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, these are the isopods for you! 

This species enjoys a humidity gradient ranging from semi-arid to temperate conditions. These critters are burrowers and prefer a substrate depth of at least 3 to 4 inches. 

*Please expect to receive a variety of sizes from juvenile to subadult, we only include isopods that are fully colored in our counts.
