Inspired by the extraordinary life nomads still lead today, Tim Cope embarked on a journey that hadn't been successfully completed since those times- to travel on horseback across the entire length of the Eurasian steppe, from Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia, through Kazakhstan, Russia, Crimea and the Ukraine to the Danube River in Hungary.
From horse-riding novice to travelling three years and 10,000 kilometres on horseback, accompanied by his dog Tigon, Tim learnt to fend off wolves and would-be horse-thieves, and grapple with the extremes of the steppe as he crossed sub-zero plateaux, the scorching deserts of Kazakhstan and the high-mountain passes of the Carpathians. Along the way, he was taken in by people who taught him the traditional ways and told him their recent history- Stalin's push for industrialisation brought calamity to the steepe and forced collectivism that in Kazakhstan alone led to the loss of several million livestock and the starvation of more than a million nomads. Today Cope bears witness to how the traditional ways hang precariously in the balance in the post-Soviet world.

Quality Men’s Soap

I purchased this bar soap for my three grandsons and my granddaughter’s boyfriend. They are all in their 20s and liked the fact that the soap lasted longer than the soaps they usually use. I did give them each a different
scent and they appreciated the fact that the scent was not overwhelming, but subtle. Generally speaking, young men this age usually do not purchase quality soap or personal hygiene items mainly because of cost. They all were very pleased with the surprise gift and proceeded to use it immediately. I would compare it to the expensive Dr. Squatch bar soaps. I bought these on sale and felt like I had gotten a very good deal. It is a pleasure to give someone a gift that they normally would not purchase themselves. I will continue to shop this website for future purchases and wholeheartedly recommend Rinse and Robust Men’s Bar Soap.

Smooth Bars are nice, Scrub Bars Too Rough

Not bad soap. The scents aren't overbearing, but the "Scrub" style bars.... I have very little use for other than the bottoms of my feet. They are extremely rough and not for use directly on the skin. I've other "scrub" bars in the past that I could use almost all over the body but these are like lava rocks.

Great Scents
