The dwarves of the Immari system lost their entire civilian population when the Vanguard encountered the Gorkog on Ankarr and the Immari king, sent his entire military, the Engineers of War (EoW) to help fight them. No sooner had the EoW left the system that another group of Gorkog attacked, slaughtering the king and his people. The EoW returned victorious to a dead system. That was 71 years ago and the members of EoW are still recovering. They have had little contact with the Vanguard or anyone else outside their system and have been singularly focused with rebuilding their civilization.
