The Because He Liked It series was created to help children see God's world with fresh eyes-full of beauty, mystery, and delight. Every book in this series holds a new collection of creatures and stories, each one reminding us that creation exists for a simple reason: Because God liked it.

The Bible tells us, "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being." (Rev. 4:11) That means every colorful bird, every playful monkey, every hidden creature in the sea is here because it pleased Him.

These pages are not meant to be rushed. They are stepping-stones into wonder. Each illustration and reflection is a chance for you and your child to pause, look closer, and ask questions together.

Here are a few ways to make the most of your time with this series:

• Take it slowly. Let each picture and story breathe. Wonder grows best when it's not hurried.
• Ask questions. "What do you see?" "Why do you think God made it this way?" Their answers may open new doors of discovery.
• Follow curiosity. If your child wants to stay with one page or skip ahead to another let their interest guide you.
• Bring it to life. When you see a flower, a bird, or the night sky, pause and say, "God
  liked this, too."

This series is a tool for discovery-a way to nurture your child's imagination and point them toward the Creator's joy. My hope is that, as you read together, you will both come to see the world not as ordinary, but as extraordinary-because He liked it, and He made it good.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Gerald Robison has pastored churches on three continents, trained over 1,200 Bible teachers in over twenty-five countries, served as the international training manager for Walk Thru the Bible, and founded and cofounded three ministries. He has instructed hundreds of mission classes, and has been a favorite speaker for Perspectives, Steeling the Mind conferences, and mission conferences around the nation and the world. He has worked with the Issachar Initiative, Finishing the Task, Perspectives, and City for the Nations. Affectionately known as "Dr. G" to many, he has a deep foundation for ministry. He was called to ministry while still in high school and began preparations for it. He achieved his BA in psychology and counseling at Furman and Mercer Universities, his master's degree and his Doctor of Ministry at Luther Rice Seminary, another master's degree in education and counseling at Georgia State University, and more graduate studies at the International Institute of Theology and Law sponsored by Simon Greenleaf School of Law and the International Institute of Human Rights sponsored by the University of Strasbourg, France. His passion is for helping reach people of every tongue, every tribe, and every nation until representatives from each group are gathered into the throne room of God for worshipping our heavenly Father.
