The Kentucky Hurricane Turnout Neck Cover with 150g fill has a special waterproof coating to provide exceptional weather protection for your horse.
Designed to be used with the Kentucky Hurricane Turnout Rug, the neck cover has 150g synthetic filling and the same PU waterproof coating as the Hurricane rugs for maximum protection against the wind and rain, making it ideal for horses that live out in the field 24/7.
This PU coating is unique in the equestrian market, and is applied to the outer fabric of the neck. It stays fully waterproof and does not require reproofing or special treatments. It also helps to prevent the neck cover from tearing.
Kentucky's signature artificial rabbit fur lines the inside of the neck cover, to protect the horse's mane and provide extra warmth. It is super-soft, which makes it perfect for horses with sensitive skin.
The neck cover attaches to the rug by means of four sturdy hook and loop closures, for a secure fit that ensures no gap between the rug and neckpiece that rain could potentially seep through.
Two further strong hook and loop fastenings close the cover at the front, and have artificial leather trim patches for an elegant finish.
The neck cover can simply be hosed off when it gets muddy, and can be machine washed at 30 degrees when it requires a deeper clean. Kentucky recommend allowing it to air dry afterwards. It does not require a special waterproof treatment or reproofing because washing will not damage the waterproof coating.
The Kentucky Hurricane Neck Cover 150g is available in Navy, in sizes M (5ft 9in to 6ft 3in), L (6ft 6in to 6ft 9in) or XL (7ft).
