Explore the thin line between reality and the unknown in Parallel: Special Edition, a thought-provoking sci-fi thriller from creator Jason Douglas. Originally a breakout success in the indie comic scene, this Source Point Press trade paperback collects the complete, mind-bending journey of a man who discovers that his life is not the only one he is living.

This item is Brand New, making it an excellent pick for fans of cerebral science fiction, time-travel paradoxes, and gritty, character-driven drama.

A Life Split in Two

  • The Story: Landon Mayes is a man haunted by a past he can't quite remember and a future that seems to be leaking into his present. When he discovers he is literally being "replaced" by a parallel version of himself, he must embark on a desperate quest to reclaim his identity before he is erased from existence.

  • Special Edition Content: This expanded collection includes the full story arc along with exclusive bonus material, featuring a detailed "making of" section, original concept sketches, and a deep-dive look at the series' intricate world-building.

  • Noir-Infused Sci-Fi: Douglas masterfully blends the tropes of classic hardboiled noir with high-concept physics, creating a story that feels grounded and relatable even as it explores the boundaries of the multiverse.

  • Atmospheric Art: The series is known for its moody, detailed linework and a palette that perfectly captures the sense of isolation and disorientation felt by the protagonist.

Wonderful and short introduction to plate tectonics for those with little background in Earth science or mathematics
Format: Paperback
Molnar does an excellent job explaining key elements of plate tectonics. His book is understandable even for those with little background in geology or geophysics. Molnar, an expert on mountain building, nicely explains how collisions of plates with continents atop cause mountain belts to form. He also questions the limitations of plate tectonics in explaining formation of such mountains. Understanding Molnar's very short book requires little mathematics. An ideal text for college science courses for non-science majors, and for those who want to understand the evolution of Earth's geological features and phenomena.
