When the alert module detects a power failure, it notifies you via text message. The battery backup uninterruptible power supply (UPS) (sold separately) continues to provide automatic emergency backup power to your electronic devices giving you time to respond to the power failure. This system is stand alone and will work with any Battery Backup Power, Inc. uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
