Il sale marino nero hawaiano dell'isola di Molokai è ancora oggi lavorato dagli artigiani delle isole Hawaiane ed è ricco in elementi minerali di lava vulcanica aggiunti al sale al momento dell'essiccazione. Il sale nero delle Hawaii è il risultato della lavorazione artigianale degli abitanti dell'isola che in fase di essiccazione lo mischiano alla lava vulcanica purificata (che oltre a renderlo nero lo rende molto ricco di elementi minerali) ed al carbone attivo da cui dipende il suo sapore leggermente solforico. Il sapore è lievemente amaro, secco e con leggeri sentori di affumicato. Questo sale marino è completamente naturale ed è l'unico sale della gamma selezionata da Bembo a lasciare traccia di colore sulle mani se leggermente strofinato: è questo il segno della presenza del carbone attivo in questo prodotto. In cucina è ideale come elemento decorativo e coreografico di grande effetto ma anche per la preparazione di carni di pollame o anche con le uova. Great for shed organizing
