The M4 medium tank was a type of medium tank developed and equipped by the United States during World War II.
The initial model of the M4 medium tank had a combat weight of 30.3 tons, equipped with a 75mm caliber gun and three machine guns. It was powered by a 350 horsepower gasoline engine, boasting a top speed of 38 kilometers per hour and a maximum range of 178 kilometers.
The M4 medium tank was initiated in August 1940 and was finalized and named M4 "Sherman" medium tank in September 1941. It was mass-produced and equipped to the US Army in 1942, and subsequently saw extensive combat use. This tank was one of the most produced tanks during World War II, with a total output of 49,234 units of various models.
