Description:
Cortec® VpCI®-368 is a fast drying solvent-based removable coating that provides multimetal corrosion prevention and has excellent UV resistance and salt-spray resistance. Leaves a wax-like anti rust film. This product is concentrated and can be diluted with 10% to 30% solvent. Provides long-term protection in harsh conditions with the option for removal at the end of the preservation period.
Packaging:
Available in 5 gallon pails. Store indoors and out of direct sunlight at 40-100ºF. Contact Us to get a quote for this product in drums. Also available diluted and ready to use as CorShield® VpCI®-368 and in aerosol cans as CorShield® VpCI®-368 Spray.
How to Use:
Cortec® VpCI®-368 can be diluted for application purposes. The surface must be prepared before applying. Mix the product prior to use. It can be applied over painted or unpainted surfaces by spray, brush, roll or dip. Normal WFT of 4-6 mils yields 2-3 mils DFT. Clean tools immediately after use. VpCI®-368 can be easily removed with alkaline cleaners, such as Cortec® VpCI®-414.
Typical Applications:
It can be used for three main stages of a metal component's life-cycle: layup, transit and storage. Common applications include: pipe coatings, parts storage, underbody coating, wire rope, steel plate, machined parts, and protection of permanent outdoor metal structure components.
