A built-up "rodent"-style distortion designed specifically for bass guitars, the Rattler Bass Mk.2 is a dream for all you bassists out there who like to throw down and get dirty.

The Rattler Bass Mk.2 Distortion centers itself around a classic effect archetype, one particularly dirty rodent, to be specific. With this effect, JAM Pedals took it back to the drawing board with a custom-designed, proprietary op-amp design inspired by discontinued and highly coveted LM308 chips. The op-amp design in question widens the usual "rodent" distortion tone to be more open and compatible with a bigger variety of setups. Whatever your bass rig is looking like, the Rattler Bass is ready to go.

From here, the Rattler Bass Mk.2 Distortion enhances its compatibility and evolves its sonic profile. For one, the Rattler Bass Mk.2 features, along with its Level, Gain, and Tone controls, a clean blend Mix control that enables easier melding of a bass's particularly full, booming, boisterous tones. This clean blend shapes the effect's output to slip more easily into the fold and allow things to play more harmoniously. What's more, the Rattler Bass Mk.2 punches everything even further with a second footswitch that engages an onboard high-gain stage. Perfect for breaking the mold and kicking everything into high gear, this addition is small but impactful. Standard nine-volt power operation, configurable startup states, and true bypass footswitching then all top this JAM creation off.
