When I was a kid, I lived in the countryside where 18th century farms were common. We're talking N. C. and Andrew Wyeth country. Real pretty, real picturesque. Wall calendar, greeting card nostalgia beautiful. That said, we also had a remarkable number of bikers. Pagans, Warlocks, some Mongols, and lots of lone wolf types who hadn't committed to a club but partied with all of them. It was idyllic horse country where people rode to the hunt through rolling fields with miles of split rail fence, but with 74s blasting straight drag pipes off in the distance, for them what had ears to hear such things.

Understand, this was the era before store bought bikers, and these kids meant business. They were always killing each other in bloody battles over control of various lucrative trades which we will not elaborate on here. When they were at parties or bars or riding, full colors were common, but they would definitely make an effort to dress down when they thought it was good for a particular situation.

That said, I don't care if they were all dressed like 7th grade math teachers, no biker could resist a vintage panel truck, just like Roger Rabbit with 'shave and a haircut'. All bikers in the late 60s through the early 80s adored big vintage panel trucks. Hell, even I had a 54 Chevy 3/4 ton in dark blue, and my 49 BSA A7 did not make me a biker.

Well, nothing says to the local constabulary 'Hey, wake up boys, outlaw bikers inside!' than the neon sign that was a vintage panel truck roaring through the countryside in the Mid Atlantic, at night, in the 70s...

Just sayin'.

A NOTE ON OUR PROCESS, OUR CHOICES AND THE QUALITY OF THE GRAPHIC CRAFTSMANSHIP THAT GOES INTO OUR PRINTS.

Every print we deem exciting enough to present to the public via our Etsy store or available here at our studio has gone through a number of steps. The first of those is always discovering and falling in love with an obscure image, always an original that we can hold in our hands. That image is speaking to us, sometime screaming “Don’t leave me here. See what I am, what I was, what I can be, what I SHOULD be!”

There is a real sense of excitement involved, and a great many smiles and knowing grins when we make that deal and bring that ancient print, that battered photo, that scrap of ephemera that contains some scrap of genius from an unknown commercial artist home with us, knowing already how we mean to approach its restoration.

There is the heady promise of a further hunt just as real as what drags a weekend fisherman out of bed at 3AM to work a favorite brook as we start our research, looking for that great backstory, and both ready and willing to tumble down as many rabbit holes as are revealed to us to get that story.

Then there is a meticulous digital restoration that is as often as much fun as riding a vintage Moto Guzzi on a winding coastal road. I don’t care if that sounds crazy, it really is like jumping in the saddle! So many choices, so many chances to take to subtly or spectacularly give new life to otherwise permanently obscure images.

This dedication and the ongoing rush of joy in the accomplishment of it, and the opportunity to share the results in our studio and here on Etsy, is the fire of passion that keeps these engines roaring. We make every effort to ensure our customers are not just satisfied but thrilled, and we happily stand 100% behind our work.

Nice ribbed shirt. Heavier then a t-shirt for cooler weather.
This is a nice shirt. It is ribbed and provides some warmth for cooler days. The material is nice and the sizing is as expected. It has good stretch and the color is as shown.

Great quality and very cute!
I can see this top becoming a real staple in my wardrobe, as I love a simple black tee and this is an upgraded version of that. The material is thick enough to not be see through, but light enough to be comfortable even in hot weather. While it is very tight fitting, I like that the neckline is high and the sleeves are a bit longer lending it a very classy, polished look. I typically always wear a small in tops, but based on other reviews, I went with a medium and I’m glad I did. It fits perfectly and I think a small would have been too snug. If you are in any way self conscious about your shape, there really isn’t any hiding in this top so bear that in mind; it is very form fitting. I recommend this top and I will likely order another color because it just feels like a good top to have on hand for a quick, put together look.
