The switch features twenty SFP ports for Gigabit fiber connections, four 10G SFP+ ports for high-speed uplinks, and four combo ports that support either SFP or RJ45 connections. Combo ports are software-selectable, allowing administrators to choose which interfaces are active based on deployment requirements.
Housed in a 1U rack-mountable enclosure, the CRS328 includes dual 100–240 V power supplies with failover support to ensure continuous operation. An RJ45 console port and configurable mode button provide additional management and troubleshooting options.
The CRS328 supports dual-boot operation, allowing administrators to choose between RouterOS or SwOS. SwOS offers a simplified interface focused on switching tasks, while RouterOS enables advanced routing, VLANs, and Layer 3 functionality when required.
