She focuses on the ephemera on the table and how it can be used to describe the passage of time as you see flowers arrive and die, notes appear, rings, fruit and her past paintings hidden in the background. Her works use dark, muted, autumnal or milky palettes, shot through with visceral reds which are used as delicious accents to centre the viewer on little corporeal, energetic moments. Her brushwork, that presents its subjects as dense objects that are wrapping in around themselves, often mirrors a feeling of self-protection and enclosure in the paintings.

The colours and textures of this Autumnal painting are exquisitely represented in a matt-finish Giclée print using a combination of high pigment inks and Hahnemühle German Etching paper.
