Melody Clusters are suspended like celestial bodies, each pendant is hand carved from a solid piece of translucent stone, the light from within illuminating the natural and subtle coloration that defines this fine-textured playful set. This snow-white collection reflects a nostalgic emotion that was inspired by ancient temples in Asia. Over the centuries, the functionality of alabaster has been extended to lamps and chandeliers. Commonly used as lamp covers for the individual light bulbs of a chandelier, alabaster has been effective in muting the glare of the bulbs to a soft, warm glow. It is for the preservation of this unique, subdued glow that interior designers have been incorporating alabaster in the many styles of chandeliers, ranging from antique designs to chic modern styles.
