The maple has a natural ripple pattern that runs across the body giving the look of waves breaking on a beach. The rosewood fingerboard has lots of dark and light striping across with very tight grain. Gibson's Medium "C" shape neck profile has a fair amount of shoulder starting at the 1st fret while beginning to taper at the 12th fret helping fill the player's hand. Gibson's Custombucker Alnico III pickups deliver a very smooth but transparent tone. Pickups from the earlier 1960's are known for having a lower impedance and a lower resistance. This style of pickup is super popular for players looking for chimey bell like clean tones with articulation and especially for edge of break up.

This 2022 Gibson Custom Shop '64 Es-335 is in very good condition. There are light pick marks on the upper horn and light scratches near the pickup controls. There is some finish bleed along the neck binding and some near the lower bottom of the body.
