The "Red Oranges of Sicily IGP" play a central role in the recipe of AMARA, a rare fruit that only grows in a volcanic environment with unique terrain and varying temperatures. As a result, the plants have exceptional qualities, making AMARA bottles truly one-of-a-kind.

The deep red hue of Sicilian blood oranges, used to create AMARA, results from the unique interplay of two factors: anthocyanin presence and Etna's climatic conditions. The cold nights and relatively warmer days on the slopes of Etna from November to March trigger a reaction in these compounds, leading to the characteristic color.

Utilizing our expert techniques, we delicately hand-peel every orange with precision, using the traditional spiral cut method. This meticulous process gently turns the fruit as each peel is removed, allowing it to dry naturally on the tree branch. Once dried, the flavorful peel can be utilized as a versatile spice in both sweet and savory recipes...
