The artwork on this coin is remarkable. The hand of God is reaching down to bring Constantine into heaven. Story

Dated: 347-348 AD

"Hand of God" or "Manus Dei" commemorative coins were struck after Constantine I the Great's death (337 AD). They were the first depictions of a Christian deity on a coin. Constantine is driving a quadriga (four-horse chariot); as Constantine reaches up, the Hand of God reaches down to bring him into heaven. The obverse front of the coin is an image of the veiled Constantine.
In 312 AD, Constantine made a historical decision by ordering his army to wear a Christian symbol on their shields. He won the battle of the Milvian Bridge and attributed his success to his alliance with the Christian god.  

A desert patina is formed in a very dry desert climate. The tan areas are lightly cemented on light tan dust and desert sand. It has a lovely aesthetic appeal. Skillfully cleaning the coin removes encrustation, leaving dramatic highlights that emphasize the artwork's beauty.

My main use for this may be different than most people. I was taking care of some kittens and wanted to keep them away from sensitive areas of the living room (wires, home theater equipment, etc.). Quite honestly I dont normally give poor reviews. I dont normally get poorly made products from Amazon but this time has changed things for me. I will order very little and will especially be mindful of anything made in China! This divider arrived in an intact but wet box. It took me nearly 20 minutes to get it to unfold. The two outside panels flipped out freely but for some reason I had to work to get the other panels to unfold. When it did open, the second panel was clearly damaged. I proceeded to prepare it for return, taped it up securely, requested and received a return label and traveled to the UPS store to return. Wouldn't you know it...UPS shipping charges were $154.00!!! More than I paid for this inferior product. So, if I return on my dollar and hope it makes it to the appointed destination and receive $151.99 for the return cost, I'm out $154.00 and no product to show for it! Its amazing how sellers come up with ways to unload their junk and then prevent satisfied customers by making them pay for the return shipping costs. I opted to keep the junk and consider it a lesson learned. What a scam!
