Shorten the brim and reduce the length of the body cables for a snug fitting beanie, or add an extra cable section and a pom pom for an adorable winter hat (extra yardage may be required).
The body of the hat is worked in a simple cable and ribbing pattern and integrated decreases shape the crown. Change to double pointed needles when the hat circumference is too small to work on the circular.

GAUGE: 18 sts x 27 rows = 4” in Body Chart on largest needle, after blocking.
