This Fender Custom Shop '52 Esquire begins with a classic, vintage-minded feature: an ash body. Ash, something of a sister wood to Fender's classic alder, establishes itself in a two-piece build sorted for weight. This particular cut of ash, chosen for its weight, weighs in at a particularly modest weight just over seven pounds. Doubling as a resonant base off which the rest of this Fender Custom Shop's sonic profile can spring and as a canvas for a tastefully aged Fender Custom Shop Journeyman Relic lacquer finish, this body is exceptional in so many ways. This Esquire's body is bound with parchment binding on its top and bottom for an additional geometric accent along its curvature.
