Exploring Sound as a Therapeutic Practice

Working with Groups | CPD Practitioner Development

Develop confidence in facilitating group sound experiences.

This CPD practitioner development programme is designed for those who wish to explore the practical application of sound within group settings.

Building upon principles introduced through sound awareness and listening-led practice, the programme supports the development of confidence, practical understanding, and professional awareness when working with groups.

The emphasis is not on performance or fixed techniques, but on listening, participant experience, group facilitation, and responsive practice.

Participants explore how sound may be introduced, structured, and adapted within group settings in a way that is safe, appropriate, and responsive to those attending.

About This Training

Working with groups involves more than learning how to play instruments.

It involves understanding how sound is experienced within a shared environment, how people may respond differently, and how sound may be offered in a way that supports wellbeing, presence, and participation.

This training provides an opportunity to develop confidence through practical exploration, discussion, observation, and guided application.

The focus is on facilitating group experiences rather than delivering predetermined outcomes.

  • Principles of facilitating group sound experiences
  • Structuring and pacing a session

This may include experiences commonly described as:

  • Sound Baths

  • Reflective discussion
  • Experiential learning

This practitioner development programme combines practical training, guided application, and reflective learning.

The programme includes:

• Two practical training days (4 hours each)

• One follow-up integration session (2 hours)

• Three supported group case studies

• CPD Certificate of Attendance

The case studies provide an opportunity to begin applying learning within real-world settings, helping participants develop confidence, practical experience, and professional awareness when working with groups.

The follow-up session provides space for reflection, discussion, feedback, and integration of learning arising from the case studies and early facilitation experiences.

CPD Recognition

Participants receive a CPD Certificate of Attendance recognising their professional development hours.

This programme may be undertaken as a standalone CPD experience.

So-so
Do not like this as much as previous one that broke after years. This one is cheap and sometimes the ball doesn't flip out well and doesn't pick up balls on the ground as easy but it does the job.
