Few effects have bent the trajectory of history quite like fuzz – to commemorate such an impact, we've got the Vox VFZ-1 Fuzz. This analog, retro-style stompbox hearkens to the earliest days of dedicated effect devices with a distinctly sixties-style getup and a tone too true to deny. The tone in question plays familiarly to a certain "Mk. 1.5" fuzz effect from an earlier era that's gained a reputation in the years since. For something vintage, streamlined, and oh-so fuzzy, Vox has the answer.

Vintage fuzz pedals are so coveted for their rich, unique, warm, harmonic distortion. A big reason for these qualities is their germanium transistor design – which funnily enough is another reason why they're so coveted: their spotty reliability. After extensive analysis of prized vintage pedals, Vox engineers have crafted a silicon-based design that reproduces the feel and magic of germanium components without all the instability that makes original models collector's items.

This new design delivers the same great breadth of distorted tone with some deeper customization options over the originals'. Independent controls for distortion amount, tone cut, bass cut, and a two-way Crunch/Fuzz switch dial in much closer effect mixes with authenticity and that "wow" factor intact. The VFZ-1 Fuzz fits right into modern boards seamlessly with more modern power requirements. A standard nine-volt DC center negative power requirement means this vintage-voiced effect is primed to join any modern rig.

Carrying with it all the retro aesthetic with none of the retro operation hangups, the VFZ-1 Fuzz is a perfect choice for your old tube amp, your throw-back band, and all the retro sensibilities such things require.

  • Vintage "Bender" fuzz distortion tone
  • Custom, biased, dual silicon transistor fuzz design
  • Onboard Tone Cut and Bass Cut dials
  • Two-way Fuzz/Distortion tone mode
  • Standard nine-volt DC center negative power supply requirements

I have 6 dogs that love these
I used to manage a dog boarding facility. Thousands of dogs. Maybe one or two had ever had nylabones that they actually chewed on. I’m on my second pack of dogs and every dog that I have had, loves these. And their teeth are unusually clean the vet has always said. Saved me a ton on dental work for dogs over the years I definitely believe. Be careful, they are like legos to step on.

My dogs love these
These are twice the price in stores so the price is a steal. My dogs are heavy chewers but become possesive over real bones i bought some of these. They work really well, my dogs are obsessed with them. If i buy the other products of nylabone they dont like as much. Sonething about the dinosaurs they love. They last quite a while and the nubs help clean their teeth.

Last a while. Will be buying more toys soon.
Color: Consuela the Cactus - Large, Size: Large Dog
Best dog toy I have ever bought. I have three dogs, two at the time I bought this toy. It took them over a year to break through the first layer. The flower comes off first so be careful your dog doesn't swallow it. It still has the second layer so it still looks like a cactus. No stuffing to clean up when they tear into it, which makes it far less messy than other toys. One of my dogs is obsessed with fetch so I use it like a ball inside. The oval shape makes it hard to ensure when it bounces that it will bounce straight. It's bounced into walls and other stuff that I wasn't intending it to hit. Not much of a squeak so I can let them play with it for hours and I don't get annoyed with the noise. Great toy that lasts a while.

Nice Value
Color: Consuela the Cactus - Large, Size: Large Dog
Very cute! Its soft and feels like it is well made. It is a heavier toy and a tougher one. Not a plush toy. I will order again for our older dogs. Nice value for sure!
