Great find! This WWII Navy Jumper and Pants are in perfect condition. This vintage uniform is made of quality construction in a wool fabric. It features the well known white piping, whip-stitched with nautical stars and a US Navy arm patch, a U.S.S. Ponchatoula patch and an E patch.

U.S.S. Ponchatoula (known as AOG 38) was a Sequatchie Class tanker, commissioned on October of 1944, leaving New Jersey for Norfolk, Virginia. She then traveled through the Panama Canal to California where she left January 19, 1945, to arrive in Pearl Harbor, February 1, 1945.

This piece was sold to us with a few other WWII items approximately 40 years ago.

Excellent choice for any collector, person searching for Halloween attire, or simply a fantastic jacket for regular use.
