Courvoisier XO's production is as meticulous as it is intriguing. The process begins with the meticulous selection of ugni blanc grapes from the finest vineyards in the Grande and Petite Champagne crus. After double-distillation in copper stills, the resulting eaux-de-vie are aged for up to 35 years in French Limousin oak barrels. This long maturation process allows the cognac to develop its multi-layered complexity and signature smoothness. Courvoisier prides itself on its 'cruisability', a term coined by the house to describe the unique interplay between the time, terroir and craftsmanship, all crucial elements in creating Courvoisier XO Cognac.
